This project involved careful planning of imagery, contributors, audio, and set, in order to deliver key messages in an intuitive and visually impactful way. We delivered a powerful film in line with the charity’s brand, values and vision and within budget. It was also highly important that all contributors enjoyed their experience and felt valued.

 

To maximise the production budget, we created a secondary film, 3 social cutdowns focusing on the anniversary, the charity’s impact and the fundraising appeal, as well as 2 x 15 second stories.

St Giles Trust is a national award-winning social justice charity that empowers people to build a better future. Since beginning its work in 1962 to offer emergency relief to homeless people, the charity has evolved to tackle new emerging needs. 

 

To mark the charity’s 60th anniversary, St Giles wanted to create a short film to demonstrate the charity’s journey, approach and impact, whilst reflecting the wide range of people they support and services they offer. The film was also intended to play an important part in the charity’s fundraising appeal to redesign and extend their Head Office.

For this film, we designed a stand-out creative concept which enabled us to bring together a range of individuals who have been a part of the charity’s journey; to celebrate this occasion, and to reflect on their personal stories and ways in which the charity has supported them.

 

Set within a large, urban factory, we created and projected showreels which tied together the charity’s rich archive of imagery and footage, evoking a sense of nostalgia and achievement, and reflecting the scale and range of the charity’s impact.

 

We used an authentic voice from the charity for the main VO, to bring real passion and experience to the film, spliced with sound bites from 2 contributors as real, personal evidence of the charity’s significance.
